State HOSA* Competition

Friday, March 20 (various times- see attached event list) at the Hilton in Anchorage

*Health Occupations Student Association (HOSA): Future Health Professionals is a high-school organization that develops leadership and technical HOSA skill competencies through a program of motivation, awareness and recognition, which is an integral part of the Health Science Education instructional program. HOSA has 45 chapters across the country including Puerto Rico. Every year students compete in local, regional, and national leadership competitions. I have also attached an article about HOSA and the partnership with USPHS for more information.

Events are generally 1 ½ to 2 hours each, and most require 2 judges. I attached the schedule and included a list below of the events with links to their descriptions below. Experience in the area is preferred but not required, as there are judging rubrics for each event.

Please let me know by March 2 if you are interested in volunteering to be a judge for one of these events.
