Dear Commissioned Corps officers,
As mentioned during the All-Hands on Thursday, June 13, 2019, Commissioned Corps Headquarters (CCHQ) is officially announcing a redesigned Officer Secure Area (OSA). We are also adding more readiness features to the RedDOG Self-Service application and the electronic Document Upload (eDOC-U).
Redesigned OSA Dashboard: What is new?
The OSA dashboard will have more career and readiness information and a cleaner look. Some of the added content includes promotion and retirement eligibility dates; readiness forecasting; secure messaging; and response team and deployment history.
Below is an example of what to expect when you log into your Commissioned Corps Management Information System (CCMIS) OSA on June 13.
RedDOG Self-Service – Specialty Information: “NEW FEATURE”
You will be able to add “Specialty Information” in the Deployment Information section of RedDOG Self-Service. Officers are asked to select specialties based upon education and/or experience. Additionally, board certification in a particular specialty may be captured with a corresponding date if available. Please enter the information before June 30, 2019 so we are better prepared to meet deployment requests.
eDOC-U –Readiness Training: “NEW FEATURE”
Training certifications must be uploaded in eDOC-U. Upload training for Readiness and FMRB by selecting “Readiness” and “Training” within the eDOC-U Upload application. The drop-down menu will contain each of the required trainings. Completion of the upload process requires a date of completion for the training and an electronic copy of the certificate. The system will automatically update both Readiness and FMRB information within RedDOG Self-Service. You will receive an email confirmation upon successful training document upload.
CCHQ is committed to improving our systems and making your experience better. If you have a system issue while in the OSA, please email the Commissioned Corps Help Desk at: CCHelpDesk@hhs.gov.
If you have questions regarding information displayed in the OSA, please email the appropriate resource from the list below:
- Non-medical data and Self-Service application issues: RedDOG@hhs.gov or use the RedDOG Assistance Form located on the Self-Service application menu (see Readiness: Down-to-Basics)
- Weight Standards Program: WeightStandards@hhs.gov
- Medical Information: MACCHQ@hhs.gov
- Licensure: PHSLicensure@hhs.gov
Officers who cannot access the OSA due to certificate problems with smartcards and the Access Management System (AMS) should contact the AMS helpdesk at 1-888-663-3447 or AMSHelp@hhs.gov.
Respectfully,
Susan M. Orsega
