Update on Readiness

Dear Commissioned Corps Officers,

On 1 July 2019, Commissioned Corps Headquarters (CCHQ) will initiate monthly readiness reminder notifications.  The purpose of these automated emails is to assist officers with maintaining basic readiness standards as outlined in Commissioned Corps Instruction 241.01,  “Readiness and Duty Requirements” and Commissioned Corps Personnel Operations Memorandum 821.69 “Readiness Compliance.”

Officers will receive a projected readiness reminder email if they have a projected deficiency of one or more readiness requirements within 30, 60 and/or 90 days.  Below is an example of the email forecasting an officer’s readiness status.

LCDR Doe:

Maintaining basic readiness is required as detailed in Commissioned Corps Directive (CCD) 111.03,  “Conditions of Service”. This email serves to notify you that certain readiness requirements will lapse within 30, 60 and/or 90 days.

Please login to your Officer Secure Area – Officer Dashboard to review readiness requirements that will be expiring.

Please review the “Readiness: Down-to-Basics Guide” (https://dcp.psc.gov/CCMIS/RedDOG/Forms/Basic_Readiness_Checklist.pdf) for instructions on how to update readiness requirements.
