Recap Message from the Commissioned Corps Town Hall

Dear Commissioned Corps Officers,

I want to thank everyone who attended the Commissioned Corps Town Hall, either in person or virtually. We sincerely appreciate your engagement, and will continue to provide full and transparent communication to all officers regarding the Modernization Plan.

The slides from Town Hall will are available on Modernization webpage located in your officer secure area today.

Below, please find some of the highlights mentioned during today’s meeting.

First, ADM Giroir unveiled our official service motto: “In Officio Salutis” (In the Service of Health). Thank you all for participating in the challenge. Our service motto will be used to help us reflect and reinforce our values. We plan to publically roll this out during the ASMUS conference.

Second, we are encouraging officers to apply to participate in DARPA’s Service Chiefs Fellows Program. The fellowship starts in January and applications are due Friday, November 1, 2019. Attached, please find details on how to apply.

Third, we released updated policies for deployment and readiness. To learn more about updates, please visit https://dcp.psc.gov/ccmis/.
