Dear Commissioned Corps Officers,
Commissioned Corps Headquarters (CCHQ) continues to implement new features in the Commissioned Corps Management Information System – Officer Secure Area to assist officers with deployment preparedness and with maintaining basic readiness standards.
Readiness Updates – On the 1st day of every month, officers who fail to maintain a basic level of force readiness will receive an automated notification informing them that one or more readiness requirement(s) have expired or is/are missing. The officer’s supervisor will also receive a concurrent notification. Officers who are missing readiness are subject to disciplinary action as per the Commissioned Corps Instruction 241.01,”Readiness and Duty Requirements” and Commissioned Corps Personnel Operations Memorandum 821.75 “Readiness Compliance.”
If you are not basic ready, please review your readiness history in the Readiness Information Section of the RedDOG Self Service application to determine which readiness requirement(s) have expired and take the appropriate action to address the readiness deficiencies.
If you have a readiness question or an issue that you need to address, submit a readiness assistance form located in the RedDOG Self Service area.
Deployment Updates – To help officers better prepare for potential deployment requests, officers can now view their on-call status in the Officer Secure Area under the Officer Dashboard. The dashboard shows the officer’s projected readiness.
With this new system change, officers and their supervisors, will also receive automated on-call deployment team reminders ahead of their on-call months.
To ensure receipt of these automated notifications, please log into the RedDOG Self Service application and update your primary work email address as well as the contact information for your supervisor. Instructions for accessing the RedDOG Self Service application are located in the “Readiness: Down-to-Basics Guide.”
Immunization Updates – Lastly, officers are now able to the view their immunization history as well as download and print a summary sheet from the Immunizations tab in the Readiness Information Section of the RedDOG Self Service application. Please review your immunization history and report any discrepancies to the Medical Affairs Branch at PHSCCImmunizations@hhs.gov.
CCHQ is committed to improving our processes and customer service delivery. Thank you for working with us.
Respectfully,
Susan M. Orsega
