Call for volunteers! We only need 15 minutes of your time.
ANMC and SCF will be participating in a city wide disaster exercise on February 27th partnering with the National Guard Arctic Eagle exercise, called Freeze Dried Ptarmigan. Emergency Management is looking for volunteers who can take a few minutes to check into our Labor Pool which will be activated in ANMC’s Conference Room 2. By volunteering you will be helping to test our processes, as well as becoming familiar with the practice should you be called upon in a true disaster to fulfill various roles.
Volunteers are asked to check-in with the Labor Pool between the hours of 9:30 and 11:30AM. The check-in process should take approximately 15 minutes. This portion of the exercise is based on the assumption that a communication has gone out to all staff, via Incident Command, requesting the need for additional staffing.
If you would like to volunteer, please click on the link below and sign up:
What I would envision is that Labor Pool will educate at the same time and let the volunteers know that they would either be staged for assignment, placed on standby for the next operational period, or assigned to a task right away.
Kind Regards,
