Please join the 2016 Surgeon General’s Virtual 5K Run-Walk-Roll!
A virtual run is an opportunity for others around the country to participate and learn together anywhere.
This year the TPAC Virtual Run Planning Team has coordinated a Virtual Run to be an addition to the annual Surgeon General’s 5k.
The United States Surgeon General has developed the “Step It Up!” Call to Action to promote walking and walkable communities to improve the health of our nation. Please continue to learn more about this Call to Action at: http://www.surgeongeneral.gov/library/calls/walking-and-walkable-communities/
Join the Surgeon General “Step It Up!” Virtual run scheduled to occur on May 19th, 2016. Please register early for this Virtual Run-Walk-Roll at:
http://virtualrunningclub.com/events/surgeon/
Some computer systems at certain agencies may not allow you to register for this event from your work station. In these cases, please register from your home computer. Be sure to report your time on the day of the run before midnight!
This event is an opportunity to learn and be active together with Friends, Family, and Coworkers. Create or join a team and pass along this email and Call to Action to others so that our communities can learn about the health benefits of walking.
If you have any questions about the virtual run, please contact LT Leija at rleija@bop.gov<mailto:rleija@bop.gov>
