Attention fellow officers!
The Ronald McDonald House is in need of volunteers for the 3rd Wednesday of every month (Currently looking to fill dates for May 17 & June 21).
The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) is located on the 6th floor of the new ANMC patient housing building. The RMH provides a home-away-from-home for ANMC eligible patients particularly expectant mothers with high-risk pregnancies as well as pediatric patients and their families.
COA is currently looking to gather approximately 3 volunteers per month to assist with a RMH event. The event will occur the 3rd Wednesday of each month, and will take place from 5pm to 7:30pm. Volunteers are needed to lead preparing/serving a meal to up to 50 people, providing a kid’s related activity, and delivering a short informational message promoting relevant health and educational needs. Volunteers do not need to be COA members or Commissioned Corps Officers but must be over the age of 18.
For all officers interested in volunteering in the upcoming months (May 17 & June 21), please contact CDR Krista Pihlaja at kkpihlaja@anthc.org with your name, rank, and particular activity of interest (food, craft, or health message).
