Greetings Aurora Borealis COA members,
Executive Committee elections for the upcoming operational year will occur in June. Available positions include President-Elect, Secretary, and Treasurer. Please begin thinking about your candidacy if you are interested in one of these leadership positions. The ballots will be distributed no later than June 15, with the vote to be held during the June 26th COA meeting.
This is a great opportunity to become more involved at the local level and grow as a leader with a wonderful team and elite branch. There will be follow up emails with detailed information on the election process in the next month.
NOMINATING COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Electing a new Executive Committee could not be possible without a Nominating Committee to oversee the elections. If you would like to volunteer as a member of the Nominating Committee, please send me an email requesting to join the committee. We are seeking a minimum of three officers who are current branch members in good standing and who do not currently hold elective or appointive office.
Nominating Committee responsibilities are outlined in the AB COA Bylaws (https://auroraborealiscoa.org/coa-bylaws-2/). An overview of responsibilities is provided below:
- Identify and nominate potential candidates.
- Prepare the ballot and electronically distribute it, along with the candidates’ position statements, to all members of the Branch no later than June 15.
- Provide paper ballots for the June election.
- Collect and tally ballots at end of June meeting.
