- Exploring Changes in Racial/Ethnic Disparities of HIV Diagnosis Rates Under the “Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America” Initiative
- This modeling study shows that the Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America initiative may be effective in reducing racial/ethnic disparities in HIV diagnosis rates if its targets are met, likely due to the plan’s targeting the most severely affected geographic areas.
- Trends in Childhood Influenza Vaccination Coverage, United States, 2012-2019
- Study of recent temporal trends of Influenza vaccination among US children finds that coverage has plateaued at unacceptably low levels: as of 2017-2018, only ~1/2 of US children were vaccinated. Authors call for better measurement and new strategies to increase vaccination.
What Does it Meme? A Qualitative Analysis of Adolescents’ Perceptions of Tobacco and Marijuana Messaging

- E-cigarette and marijuana industries are increasingly using social media to attract youth. This study looks at what appeals to youth in their messages and how kids can be taught to recognize influence. Authors also call for more social media regulation.
Sexual Harassment and Sexual Assault in Early Adulthood: National Estimates for College and Non-College Students

- Although attention has been given to prevention of sexual violence on college campuses, this article suggests that risks of sexual harassment/assault are similar for young adults who attend college and those who do not, underscoring the importance of prevention efforts beyond institutions of higher education.

- This CDC report discusses the role of pharmacists and pharmacies in supporting the Ending the HIV Epidemic initiative, including in dispensing antiretroviral therapy and providing HIV screening, adherence counseling, medication therapy management, pre-exposure prophylaxis, and nonprescription syringe sales.
