For Official Use Only – Not for Public Release
Dear Public Health Service Officers,
Please find attached the June issue of The Commissioned Corps Bulletin. In this issue, we’ll bring you news from the Medical Affairs Branch as they announce the new Veterans Affairs medical record uploading system, and provide explanation on how the PHS Active Duty Dental Program coverage works. We’ll also bring you news on our upcoming Retirement Seminar, recent U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps vacancy announcements, and brief you on the completion of our first ever Ready Reserve Affairs Pre-Command Course.
As we look forward to commissioning our inaugural group of Ready Reserve officers, my June Director’s Message will highlight the dedicated and team effort it has taken to see this initiative through. We are very excited to see this moment in Commissioned Corps history as we solidify the United States Public Health Service Ready Reserve Corps!
As always, please relay any questions or concerns you may have regarding the bulletin to your agency liaison or to CorpsComms@hhs.gov. Officers can access all issues of The Commissioned Corps Bulletin on the Commissioned Corps Management Information System (CCMIS) website. The June bulletin will be available online by the end of the week.
Respectfully,
Susan M. Orsega

Director, Commissioned Corps Headquarters
