Nominations for Jr and Sr Officer of the Branch & other updates

Just a reminder that we are accepting nominations for Junior and Senior Officers of the Branch.

Please send your narrative with supporting evidence of the officer’s contributions to the branch. Self-nominations are accepted.

Nominations need to be received by Wednesday, November 29th. Winners will be presented at the December general membership meeting, December 20^th.

Also, I wanted to list a few other updates for those who missed last week’s meeting.

There will be a RAM event in Anchorage April 19-21, 2024. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please contact CDR Sarah Stienbarger at sstienbarger@southcentralfoundation.com.

Our December meeting date has changed to December 20^th. We will have a brief meeting, award our Junior and Senior officers of the branch and the rest of the meeting will be our Christmas party with a soup contest. The meeting will be held in the Gathering Room. Updated invites coming shortly.

To align with the National COA goals there was discussion about starting an Advocacy Committee within our local branch. The committee would partner with the National COA and be the point of contact when advocacy is needed on the state level for things such as supporting bills that work toward parity for USPHS officers and other advocacy opportunities.
