UNIFORM OF THE DAY (Per message from RADM Orsega 4-2-21)

As of Monday, April 5, 2021, the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service Summer White (SW) uniform is authorized for wear.  Alternate uniforms are the Service Dress Blue (SDB), Service Khaki (SK), and the Operational Dress Uniform (ODU).  For those officers detailed to the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), please follow the USCG uniform guidance.

As we continue to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak, please remember the National Uniform Authority has requested that all Commissioned Corps officers wear their ODU until further notice. Your Local Uniform Authority can prescribe one of the aforementioned alternate uniforms if the situations warrants (e.g., you are scheduled to attend or present at a conference).

ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS – Female Alternate Combination Cap (ACC) as of January 2020:

• For ordering an Alternate Combination Cap (ACC) , you will need to order 3 items in addition to the cover to convert from the Navy ACC.

• The ACC Hat is sized the same as the Gender Neutral Garrison Cover (So officers need to look at the size of the gender neutral Garrison Caps that they have and order that size for the ACC Hat).
