USPHS Commissioned Corps Town Hall Recap, November 17, 2020

For Official Use Only – Not for Public Release

Dear Public Health Service Officers,

Thank you for joining us at today’s USPHS Commissioned Corps Town Hall. We provided updates on promotions, metrics, IT systems, the Prevention through Active Community Engagement teams, deployment teams, and we addressed your questions on promotions. We also extended the 2020 Commissioned Officer Evaluation Report (COER) deadlines, please review the attached message for those details.

In addition, the new USPHS Commissioned Corps Communications Toolkit was unveiled at today’s Town Hall. We’re happy to say, the toolkit is now available behind the Officer Secure Area, under the “Communications Tools and Resources” tab for easy access. We encourage officers to use these communication materials during your speaking engagements and outreach initiatives, to act as force multipliers in our recruitment efforts. The toolkit provides you with talking points, recruitment materials, templates, and branded backdrops to use when attending virtual meetings.

Once available, we will follow-up with the slides and video recording from today’s USPHS Commissioned Corps Town Hall.

Respectfully,

Susan M. Orsega

RADM, USPHS

Director, Commissioned Corps Headquarters
